Direct to garment printing, also known as DTG printing, is a process of printing on textiles and garments using specialized, water-based ink technology. The two key requirements of a DTG printer are a transport mechanism for the garment and specialty inks (water-based inks) that are applied to the textile directly and are absorbed by the fibers. Water-based inks are environmentally friendly and allow for a softer, more comfortable printed garment. DTG Printing allows for a multi-color or extremely detailed print without the cost associated with the numerous films and set-up charges required for screen printing. This makes it possible to do intricate full color designs on a single garment.

Embroidery is the handicraft of decorating fabric or other materials with needle and thread or yarn. Embroidery may also incorporate other materials such as metal strips, pearls, beads, quills, and sequins. Embroidery is most often used on caps, hats, coats, blankets, dress shirts, denim, stockings, and golf shirts. Embroidery is available with a wide variety of thread or yarn color.

Screen printing is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate momentarily along a line of contact. This causes the ink to wet the substrate and be pulled out of the mesh apertures as the screen springs back after the blade has passed.

Direct to Film (DTF) is a unique printing technology using a specific water-based ink to print a film transfer that is then dried, a powdered glue is applied to the back and then heat cured. It is now ready for storage or instant use. Once heat pressed the soft water-based ink is transferred to the garment and can last as long or longer than traditional screen printing. DTF can be used on 100% cotton, 50/50, polyester, and much more. There really is no limit. We also offer UV/DTF. This process can be used on cups, mugs, tumblers, and any other hard surface. With DTF and UV/DTF there is no limit to the number of colors you can print, and no minimums.
